Open to all SCX rally cars (except Classic), unlimited weight
allowed, no magnet.
F1:
The Club will supply two cars but drivers may bring their own. For
rounds 1 to 3, cars may not carry ballast.
Open to the SCX Classic F1’s re-issued over the past few years. No
modifications allowed (see “Maintenance”) (Sigma, Tyrell, Brabham and
McLaren. All these cars use the old Triang RX locomotive motor.
Comparable original SCX F1 cars may be used but drivers should seek
prior agreement to use these earlier cars.
Porsche Trophy: Allan Armistead Memorial
Also known as the Porsche Cup, open to Ninco, SCX, AUTOart, Fly and
Scalextric Porsche coupes but not the GT-1 versions. Motor power not to
exceed NC-5 type performance, no magnet, unlimited weight, free choice
of front tyres and rears limited to Ninco, SCX, Auto-Art or Scalex.
Some examples of eligible models include:
The new Porsche 997 being
made by Ninco and SCX and the various Porsche 911s and 935s also made by
SCX and Ninco.
Classic Lemans:
The class cover the 1965-72/73 era give or take a year or two. Models
are allowed unlimited ballast, no magnet, free choice of front tyres and
rears may be any of Ninco, SCX or Scalex.
Some examples of eligible models: Ford GT-40, Corvette L-88, Ferrari P4/312/512/Daytona, Porsche 908
(all variations)/917 (all variations)/911(all variations except
“Rally”), Lola T-70/T-290, Chaparral 2F.
Classic Touring Cars:
This class also covers the 1965-72/73 period give or take a year or
two. Open to all manufacturers of touring cars for this period. Models
are allowed unlimited ballast, no magnet, free choice of tyres (no
silicon) providing they fit either original wheels or wheels of similar
vintage appearance.
Some examples of eligible models:
Ford Escort/Torino/Cortina/Mustang GT-350/Trans-Am, VW Beetle, Fiat
Abarth (not 124), NSU 1300, Trabant 601, Camaro, Alfa Romeo GTA/GTAm,
Plymouth ‘cuda’, Ford Galaxie.
