Group C

Classic F1:

Open to the SCX Classic F1’s re-issued in recent years and to Scalextric and Fly vintage F1 cars with the standard Mabuchi replaced by the Scaleauto 10 000 rpm white motor.

No modifications allowed (see “Maintenance”) (Sigma, Tyrell, Brabham and McLaren. All these cars use the old Triang RX locomotive motor. When proposing to use comparable original SCX F1 cars or those modified with the Scaleauto white motor, drivers should seek prior agreement to use these earlier cars.

SCX Modern F1:

SCX modern F1 cars made by Technitoys after 2001 only are eligible. Cars may cars ballast. Front and rears must be standard or Ortmann brand replacement rubber compound tyres for rears.

Some examples of eligible models:
Jaguar, McLaren, Renault, Williams, and Ferrari.

Slot-it – early 1980s:

Magnet must be removed. Motor limited to 21 000 rpm. Ballast may be added. Choice of front tyres is permitted.

Some examples of eligible models:
“Group C” cars only: Porsche 956/962, Mercedes CLK, Lancia LC-2, Jaguar XJR-9 and the Mazda787 when released. Ferrari F40 and later models are not permitted.

SCX Touring:

Any Technitoys (post 2001) SCX Touring cars are permitted including DTMs. Ballast may be added. No magnets. Free choice of rear and front tyres but silicone-based compounds are not allowed.

Some examples of eligible models:
Mercedes, Honda, Audi TT, Opel, Alfa Romeo, Volvo, BMW and Seat but not Seat Cupra.

Ninco GT:

Any Ninco GT. Ballast may be added but magnet must be removed. Chassis may be braced. No motor above an NC5 may be used.  Free Choice of tyres front and rear.

Some examples of eligible models:
McLaren F1, Nissan 350Z, Calloway, Supra, Porsche 977, Mosler and Lexus. Mercedes CLK and Porsche GT1 are excluded.

LMP (Lemans Prototypes):

Open to all brands but metal chassis not permitted. No motors above 21 000 rpm. Magnets must be removed. Ballast permitted.  Free choice of front and rear tyres but no silicones permitted.

Some examples of eligible models:
SCX Peugeot 908, Ninco Acura, SCX and SCX Audi R10, Audi R8, FLY Lola B-98 and Panoz roadster. Scalextric Lola LMP and SCX and Scalextric Cadillac LMP.  Spirit Reynard and Courage but the standard Spirit motor must be replaced by a standard Scalextric Mabuchi.
