NASCAR

NASCAR and Classic NASCAR heats are for 2 minutes. However, the duration of any class may be determined by agreement of those present on the night.

Modern NASCAR:

Open to all SCX, Scalex and Carrera models. Weighting allowed but must run with original motor, wheels and tyres.

Classic NASCAR:

Carrera classic NASCAR’s are allowed unlimited ballasting, removal of magnets, free choice of front tyres, original rears and wheels, body may be lowered on the chassis and guide blade replaced. Revell ’63 and ’65 Ford Galaxie NASCARs are also eligible.

Trucks:

Open to all Fly and SCX trucks. Magnets may be removed and unlimited amount of ballast (and patience) added. No other modifications. Buggyra trucks must use standard Fly motor not an Evo 2.

Open Modified Class:

Any 1/32 scale cars except open wheelers.  Body/chassis combination as per manufacturer, ballast may be added. Any motor may be used (limited to 25,000rpm) in any chassis. Choice of tyres/rims, axles and gears free, however no silicon tyres. Tyres/rim to be no wider than 5mm outside of wheel arch.

1/24 Hot Rods:

Open to all Carrera 1/24th scale hot rods with the only modifications being swapping the standard motor for the equivalent of an NC2 or 5 and disconnecting the electrical direction switch.

1/24:

Open to Carrera and AUTOart 1/24 cars with the only modifications being swapping the standard motor for the equivalent of an NC5 and disconnecting the electrical direction switch. No open wheelers.  Ballast may be added. Tyres must fit original wheels.

Some examples of eligible models:
Ferrari 250, Porsche GT1, Corvette C6R, Ferrari 575, Porsche Carrera 6, AUTOart Ford GT ’06 and Ford Mustang FR 500C.
