Hello and welcome to SlotsofCars!

Well it's been a while since the inception of this website and I have finely started to work on more content for it so please keep an eye out!

I have been spending a lot of time working on my home track and creating a lot of scenery for it. It has been a childhood dream to have a permanent track with scenery reminiscent of a train set. Along the way I have modified track and electronic timing, added plenty of scenic trees and other trackside scenery, including items that I have scratch built, which include: 44 gallon drums, park benches and plenty of other items. I have by no means finished and it will be an ongoing project!

I will be adding my ideas and images to the site and will even be offering a small selection of items for sale in the future! So please watch this space!

In addition, you will find information for 'Canberra and Region Racing and Collecting Enthusiasts' (CARRACE) club, located in the Australian Capital Territory. I had joined the club back in 2000 and was involved with it for a couple of years until I had moved away from the racing scene because of other commitments. More recently I re-joined the club and have been involved with it now for a bit over a year. It is a small group, that meet twice a month to race. The club is in its tenth year and there has been a lot of exciting developments, including a new website, logo and the development of some merchandise, which includes mugs, mouse mats and embroidered shirts. And who know in another 10 years we may even have our own club car!

I am also proud to announce that one of our members has plucked up the courage to open a dedicated slotcar shop 'Way2Fast' in Canberra, it houses a number of race tracks, including a couple of commercial tracks that can be hired for parties and any other occasion. He also has a nice stock of cars so its great to see something like this in this town of ours, for further information and shop hours follow the link above.
